Work Authorizations- Activity Manager

All work must be authorized before it is performed. A Work authorization has two distinct components. First, all work performed must be planned, reviewed and authorized. This is through the use of written Work Activities. Second, individual workers must then be assigned to the Work Activities, properly trained, and authorized before they can proceed with work.

Each Work Activity has an assigned Activity Lead. The Activity Lead assigns and authorizes workers. They also update their work activities as needed. If you need a new Work Activity developed, please contact the ETA Safety Manager, Ron Scholtz. The following information is needed to get started:

  • Name of project and location
  • Brief description of the project
  • Scope of work- maximum volumes, flow rates, temperatures, pressures, etc.
  • A list of equipment used
  • A list of materials used- chemical, biological, radiological

ETA Work Activities can be found in the Activity Manager system: Activity Manager Database. Instructions on how to use the Activity Manager system can be found at: Work Planning and Control Website.
