Personal Protective Equipment

Lab personnel wear personal protective equipment (PPE) to protect themselves from hazardous agents, conditions, or materials. It is important that the proper type of personal protective equipment is worn and that it fits comfortably. Failure to follow proper precautions can result in a serious injury.

Minimum protection that must be followed at all times in wet lab areas includes: Safety glasses with sideshields, long pants and enclosed shoes.
